The woman is identified as Ana Trotman, 42, a shop owner, and the man is identified as John Trotman, 47, of Onderneeming, West Bank Demerara.
Both outlets state that police believe John Trotman shot the woman before turning the gun on himself, though the case remains under investigation. INews Guyana additionally reports that another woman, aged 59, was injured during the incident and is being treated at a medical facility.
