HYBE has announced plans to launch a new seven-member girl group, TUIDE, under its newly established label ABD. According to HYBE, the group is scheduled to debut in the second half of this year. The company has revealed the group’s name and logo, and said the name “TUIDE” comes from “Tune the tide,” reflecting an aim to highlight each member’s individuality while working together to create a unified sound.
HYBE also named the producer leading the project. Veteran producer Han Sung-soo, affiliated with Pledis Entertainment and known for past work with artists including Seventeen, After School, Iz*one and TWS, is set to manage production for the new group. Multiple reports indicate HYBE is preparing additional promotional steps ahead of the debut, including a pre-debut event.
With TUIDE’s debut, HYBE says it will further expand its roster of girl groups, which already includes Le Sserafim (Source Music), NewJeans (ADOR), Illit (Belift Lab) and Katseye (HYBE Labels).
