A leopard wanders into a liquor shop in Todaraisingh town in Tonk district, Rajasthan, and attacks people captured on CCTV footage, according to multiple reports. The incident begins when the big cat enters the shop, creating panic among customers and staff. Local accounts say it injures individuals inside and around the area, including a salesman and a couple of others who are hurt before the leopard is contained. After the animal enters the store, locals pull down the shop’s rolling shutter from outside, trapping the leopard inside and limiting its movement toward the surrounding market area.
Police and forest officials secure the site and coordinate a response. A specialised wildlife rescue team from Jaipur joins the operation. Over the next several hours, the team works to tranquilise the leopard. Reports describe the rescue taking nearly five hours, with the animal tranquilised and captured around 2 pm. All injured people receive medical attention at local hospitals, with some discharged after initial treatment and others shifted for further care.
