The complaint, filed at a police station in Hooghly district, includes allegations of rape on a false promise of marriage, along with assault and criminal intimidation. Some reports also state that the intimidation allegation involves threats to share intimate images or videos. Porel is described as facing offences under non-bailable provisions, and the investigation is ongoing. Porel has denied the allegations, and no official findings have been reported so far.
