HCLTech CEO and managing director C Vijayakumar is listed as the highest-earning IT services CEO in India for FY26, with multiple reports placing his remuneration at about Rs 176–177 crore (around $18.1–18.13 million). According to NDTV and other outlets, the compensation reflects a sharp increase year-on-year—reported as roughly a 67% rise—positioning him at the top of Indian IT CEO pay charts.

Business Line reports that Vijayakumar’s package is drawn from the step-down wholly owned subsidiary HCL America Inc., where his salary is paid. It also attributes much of the increase to long-term incentives and stock options rather than changes to base pay alone. NDTV notes that while his FY26 compensation is higher than prior levels, the actual figure is marginally below what the board had approved, despite the overall increase.

Times of India similarly reports the remuneration amount and his ranking among IT CEOs, aligning with the other outlets on both the top position and the reported payment level range.
