In parallel, Iran attacks a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, with the ship’s crew abandoning the vessel after it is hit by an unknown projectile, according to maritime reporting cited by outlets.
Several reports also say shipping activity in and around the strait has largely stalled amid the renewed exchanges. They add that, despite the consecutive rounds of US strikes, Iran has not loosened control over the waterway. Euronews and others report additional diplomatic movement: Iran’s interior minister travels to Pakistan, described as a key mediator, for talks. At the same time, the outlets state that an interim deal signed last month—intended to end the fighting—has broken down. Overall, the reports depict continuing military pressure and limited progress toward a renewed agreement.
