Car and Driver reports that the Trailhunter adds an off-road-oriented hardware bundle, including upgraded tires and suspension-related components, along with additional underbody protection. The package is described as having a Tacoma-inspired approach to off-road capability.
Jalopnik adds that the 2027 Tundra’s changes outside the Trailhunter are limited. It reports that the model receives allegedly updated styling elements, including slightly revised bumpers and grilles. Beyond exterior tweaks, Jalopnik says the main functional upgrade is a new infotainment system.
