The diagnosis is described as having occurred last month. The Panthers announce that Moton will be placed on the reserve/non-football injury list ahead of the start of training camp, with his status also affecting the team’s plans for the early part of the season.
One report also states that the Panthers place cornerback Jaycee Horn on the reserve/non-football injury list at the same time. Horn is said to be sidelined after cutting his foot while running and requiring stitches.
With Moton unavailable for the season opener period, the Panthers are expected to consider roster options to fill the starting right tackle role. CBS Sports notes that the team could look to first-round draft pick Monroe Freeling to step in as the starter while Moton recovers.
