Glow, an endpoint security startup, emerges from stealth after raising $180 million in new funding at a reported $1.2 billion valuation. Multiple outlets describe the company’s focus as a prevention-first approach to securing endpoints, using AI to adapt protections based on the environment. The technology is described as performing environment mapping and risk analysis, then applying automated policy enforcement to help block threats before they execute.

The reported round is led by Sequoia along with other investors including Cyberstarts, Greenoaks, and Redpoint Ventures. Additional participation is reported from Index Ventures, Swish Ventures, Lux Capital, Operator Collective, and Holly Ventures.

Glow says it will use the funding to expand its go-to-market operations, including growing its presence in the United States, and to scale Glow Labs, its cybersecurity research division. The company’s stated goal is to develop adaptive endpoint defenses designed to adjust protections as system and threat conditions change.
