Samsung launches the Galaxy Z Flip 8 at its Galaxy Unpacked event, introducing the clamshell foldable alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The Flip 8 is positioned as Samsung’s thinnest and lightest Flip model, weighing 180 grams and measuring 6.1mm when unfolded. It features a 6.9-inch inner Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and a 4.1-inch redesigned FlexWindow cover screen, which Samsung describes as enabling AI workflows without unfolding. The device runs Android 17 with One UI 9.

For performance, the Flip 8 uses an Exynos 2600 deca-core processor in most regions, while sources also state that the US model uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. It includes 12GB RAM, with storage options up to 512GB. The phone has a 4,300mAh battery and supports fast charging, along with wired and wireless charging options and reverse wireless charging. Camera upgrades include a 50-megapixel dual rear setup and new recording-related features. In India, it is priced at Rs. 1,24,999 for 12GB/256GB and Rs. 1,44,999 for 12GB/512GB, with pre-orders beginning immediately and sales starting August 8.
