Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara declares an end to political hostilities in the state and says he has reconciled with his political “family.” He announces support for the Wike-led Rainbow Coalition, describing it as a platform that brings together different political interests aligned with President Bola Tinubu. Fubara also endorses Tinubu for a second term, saying the president is the person he is supporting. In Rivers State, he names Kingsley Chinda as his preferred governorship candidate and calls on supporters to back the coalition’s candidates.

Fubara makes the remarks during the groundbreaking of the Rivien Medical Industry project in Rumuosi, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, and shares his statement through a video posted online. He urges supporters not to wait for political appointments before joining the coalition, and he warns against using his name to promote political activities outside the alliance.

The move follows a period of political tension in which Fubara reportedly withdrew from APC primaries in May 2026 and later reconciled with Nyesom Wike, after a prolonged crisis.
