Market maker Jane Street reduces its reported exposure to Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in Q1 2026 while increasing positions in Ether (ETH) funds, based on a U.S. 13F filing. The filing shows that Jane Street cuts holdings in major Bitcoin ETFs, including BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC). IBIT holdings fall by about 71% quarter over quarter to roughly 5.9 million shares, valued at about $225 million, while FBTC holdings decline about 60% to around 2 million shares worth about $115 million.

In parallel, Jane Street increases its Ether ETF exposure. It nearly doubles its position in BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) and sharply raises its stake in Fidelity’s Ethereum fund (FETH), adding a combined roughly $82 million across the two products during the quarter.

Both sources note that 13F disclosures reflect only reportable holdings and do not show Jane Street’s full trading book or net exposure. The broader context is shifting institutional interest in Ether ETFs, alongside volatility in crypto-linked assets. The Reuters-cited report also indicates Jane Street posts record Q1 trading revenue of $16.1 billion.
