Minnesota Twins beat the Cleveland Guardians 3-1 on Thursday to split their four-game series. After both teams are scoreless through the first seven innings, the Twins finally break through offensively in the eighth. Minnesota then adds to its lead in the 12th inning, when Trevor Larnach and Luke Keaschall each deliver two-out RBI singles to score runs. Larnach and Keaschall place grounded hits to the left side off Cleveland reliever Erik Sabrowski. The Guardians’ Gavin Williams, who starts the game for Cleveland, strikes out 11 batters and is positioned to earn his 11th win before Minnesota’s late rally. By the time the Twins score again in the 12th, Cleveland cannot close the gap, and the Twins hold on for the series split.
