Manipal Health Enterprises Ltd., backed by Temasek and Ranjan Pai, is launching its initial public offering with a price band of ₹560–₹590 per share. The company opens the subscription period on July 29 and plans to close bidding on July 31, while the anchor book opens for one day on July 28. The IPO targets raising up to ₹92.7 billion (about $960 million), continuing a broader period of large Indian listings.
The offering includes a fresh issue of ₹8,000 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 2.16 crore equity shares worth about ₹1,275.2 crore, with multiple existing investors selling shares through the OFS. The company expects share allotment to be finalised by August 3 and its listing on the stock exchanges on August 5. It also reserves shares worth ₹15 crore for employees, offering them at a discount of ₹56 per share to the final offer price, subject to eligibility.
According to reports, net proceeds from the fresh issue are primarily earmarked for repaying loans, with a portion allocated to acquiring a minority stake in its subsidiary Sahyadri Hospitals, and the remainder for general corporate purposes.
