Patriot Resources is expanding its copper exploration position in Zambia’s Copperbelt. The company has acquired a new licence in the Copperbelt area, located about 17 km along strike from First Quantum’s Fishtie project. Sources describe the ground as prospective for large, high-grade “Kamoa-style” copper targets.
In addition to the licence acquisition, Patriot is also advancing its drilling program at the Tonic discovery. Multiple outlets report that Patriot adds two new priority drill targets, extending the company’s “Tonic discovery corridor” to 5.5 km. The corridor is described as lying within the Mumbwa–Kitumba belt, which is characterised as fertile for copper exploration.
Overall, the coverage links Patriot’s increased ground position near First Quantum assets with step-by-step expansion of its own Tonic discovery targeting, suggesting a broader regional push within Zambia’s Copperbelt rather than a single isolated campaign.
