A man is arrested in Kyoto on suspicion of repeatedly blasting loud radio and electric guitar noise from his home for more than seven years, police say. According to reports, the suspect, identified as Kazunori Yokoi, allegedly played music at high volume day and night, affecting residents living nearby. Police state that he allegedly exposed three neighbors in their 60s to 80s to noise for an extended period, with the alleged timeframe including June 2019 to July of this year. The reports say the affected residents experienced insomnia and related health issues, including sleep deprivation and depression. Separate details also indicate that similar noise occurred between April 2025 and July this year, which police suspect contributed to a woman developing tinnitus.
