Multiple reports say the idea is under consideration inside Arsenal, with The Athletic describing it as approved “at all levels.” The links are driven by the fact that Vinicius has roughly 12 months left on his current deal and could be available later if no agreement is reached.
However, the reporting also indicates Vinicius is not prioritising a move away from Real Madrid. Spanish sources cited by Metro say his priority is to renew, and that he wants clarity from Madrid over his role under newly appointed coach Jose Mourinho and about his salary. Real’s leadership is also described as keen to resolve the situation and keep him at the club, with President Florentino Perez publicly saying Vinicius wants to stay.
Mourinho is described as telling Madrid to reject an Arsenal attempt to sign Vinicius. At the same time, Madrid’s summer planning includes left-wing reinforcement, with RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande also being discussed, alongside potential other midfield activity.
