The message includes what is described as a high-quality version of the film, according to verification cited by the outlet. Within roughly two and a half hours, the content associated with the post reaches more than 2.1 million views. Shortly afterward, the streaming film is replaced by a takedown notice and the account is suspended.
By July 26, additional copies of the bootleg reportedly appear on X, though many are displaced by misleading reuploads that use labels intended to attract viewers but deliver unrelated content such as a Rick Astley “Rickroll.” The reporting also notes that the leak does not appear to reduce the film’s performance in its second weekend, when it reportedly earns about $87 million, and it does not show a clear impact on demand for IMAX 70 mm tickets.
