Sources also say the leaders may discuss efforts to resume stalled negotiations on a free trade agreement between South Korea and Mercosur, the regional trade bloc that includes Brazil and Argentina. Lee had previously met Lula earlier this year, with a February summit in Seoul where both sides agreed to elevate their relationship to a strategic partnership. Lee is scheduled to travel next to Chile for talks with President José Antonio Kast and then to Argentina for discussions with President Javier Milei.
