A man accused of stealing hard drives and related materials connected to Beyoncé is sentenced to five years after pleading guilty. Reports say the case involves a July 2025 robbery in Atlanta, when suitcases containing unreleased Beyoncé music, choreography-related materials, tour planning documents, and technical items were taken from a rental vehicle. According to police accounts summarized by multiple outlets, the theft was reported by members of Beyoncé’s production crew who called 911 to report the loss from a rental 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. An indictment later states the suspect entered the vehicle on July 8 with the intent to commit theft.
The stolen drives reportedly contained watermarked music, some unreleased tracks, footage plans, and past and future set lists. Police reports also say other items, including clothing, designer sunglasses, laptops, and AirPods headphones, were taken. Investigators tracked at least one device using location information and conducted searches in the area; the suspect was arrested weeks later and was publicly identified in September. At the time of arrest, police said the stolen property had not been recovered. The defendant accepted a sentence described as five years total, including two years in custody.
