On July 27, Martin appealed for blood donors, saying his family urgently needed 16 blood donors for Robert, who was scheduled to undergo a bypass operation. He made the request through Instagram Stories and described it as triple bypass surgery, which creates alternative routes for blood around blocked sections of artery.
Later, during an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on July 28, Martin said his father was still in the intensive care unit but was now in stable condition. He reported that Robert underwent a quintuple heart bypass surgery and that the procedure was successful. Martin also expressed gratitude to those who extended help, including the medical team caring for his father.
Across the reports, the family seeks community support ahead of surgery and then confirms Robert’s post-operation status as safe while he remains under medical supervision in the ICU.
