Linda Perhacs, an 82-year-old psychedelic folk artist known for her song “Parallelograms,” is reported missing, according to posts shared by people connected to the musician. Stereogum reports that her former manager Laurel Stearns wrote on Perhacs’ Instagram, asking fans for help locating her. Stearns states that Perhacs was discharged from a residential care facility about eight months earlier under the supervision of her legal guardian. After the discharge, friends and longtime collaborators say they have been unable to reach her, and attempts to contact her guardian reportedly have not received responses. Separately, the New York Post reports that Dublab co-founder Mark McNeill shared the request for help on Instagram. Both accounts describe public efforts to find Perhacs and indicate that information about her whereabouts is being sought. Stereogum also includes an email address—lstearns@primarywave.com—where people can send information.
