The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State rejects media reports that a purported ADC faction has collapsed into Nyesom Wike’s “Rainbow Coalition.” Vanguard, Punch, and Nigerian Eye report that ADC state leaders describe the claims as false and misleading, stressing that the party has no faction and remains united under its Senator David Mark-led National Executive Committee.

Nigerian Eye adds that the party’s state publicity secretary, Chizi Enyi, says individuals cited as ADC representatives in the publications are not recognized officials or authorized spokespersons. The ADC also dismisses references to an alleged “Ibe Kachukwu faction,” saying no such group exists within the party.

The ADC further calls for investigations by security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services, into people it says are impersonating party officials. The party warns that such acts could amount to offences such as false representation, conspiracy, or forgery.

Across the reports, the ADC maintains that any political declaration, alliance, or endorsement attributed to an alleged faction cannot bind the party without authorization.
