Tata Sons Executive Chairman N. Chandrasekaran receives total remuneration of Rs 158.66 crore for FY26, according to the holding company’s latest annual report. The figure is a marginal increase from Rs 155.81 crore in the previous fiscal year and is the highest level since Tata Sons began disclosing executive pay in FY22. The company’s disclosures show that over the past five years, Chandrasekaran’s cumulative earnings from Tata Sons amount to Rs 671.4 crore.
Chandrasekaran’s FY26 pay comprises Rs 17.97 crore in salary and other benefits and a profit-linked commission of Rs 140.69 crore. The profit-linked commission remains unchanged from FY25, while fixed salary and other benefits increase by about 18% from Rs 15.12 crore to Rs 17.97 crore. Across earlier years, commission constitutes the largest portion of his remuneration and rises in line with Tata Sons’ profitability.
The annual report also states that Tata Group revenue increases 7.8% to Rs 16,24,030 crore and net profit rises 51.9% to Rs 1,70,525 crore in FY26. Separately, Tata Sons reports profit up 22% to Rs 32,000 crore and revenue up 9% to Rs 42,000 crore. Tata Sons’ board recommends a dividend of Rs 1,10,717 per share, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM scheduled for August 18.
