Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has announced the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Jerry Adams, as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.In a statement personally signed on Tuesday, Sani described the choice as a reaffirmation of his administration’s values of inclusion, equity, justice, and good governance. He emphasized that Adams’ emergence was not just about filling the deputy governorship slot but about reinforcing a vision of unity and inclusivity in Kaduna.“Our decision reflects the values that have guided this administration since May 29, 2023 inclusion, fairness, and the conviction that every citizen deserves a genuine sense of belonging,” Sani said.Highlighting Kaduna’s diverse ethnic, religious, and cultural landscape, the governor urged residents to see diversity as a strength rather than a source of division. He noted that his administration had prioritized equitable distribution of development projects across all 23 local government areas, with investments in roads, education, healthcare, agriculture, water supply, and social protection.Sani credited Adams with transforming KADIRS into one of Nigeria’s leading revenue agencies through innovation, transparency, and professionalism. The improved internally generated revenue, he said, had strengthened the state’s fiscal capacity and enabled greater investment in critical sectors.Beyond his professional achievements, Adams was praised as “a man of integrity, humility, and quiet strength,” whose commitment to peace and inclusive governance aligns with the administration’s vision.“As we look towards 2027, I invite every son and daughter of Kaduna State to see this moment not through the prism of religion or ethnicity, but through the broader vision of a Kaduna where every child can dream without fear and every citizen has an equal stake in our common future,” Sani added.
