Plateau State police say they have arrested four suspects in connection with the mob torture and death of Ibrahim Mbaya, a Jos-based model also known as “Ibee.” The police report that the killing occurred after an attack involving multiple people, and that the investigation is now focused on identifying and apprehending remaining suspects. Across reports, police confirm that four people are in custody while two others are still being pursued as the case is investigated and processed for prosecution.

One police account says six people were involved in the incident, with two not yet arrested. Another report similarly states that four suspects have been detained and that efforts are ongoing to locate the two who fled. All sources describe the victim as a model from Jos and a University of Jos graduate, and attribute the arrests to the Plateau State Police Command’s ongoing efforts to respond to the incident and bring those responsible to justice.
