Officials from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) conduct raids across Tamil Nadu at multiple locations linked to former DMK minister V. Senthil Balaji. According to reports, searches begin early Wednesday at Balaji’s residence in Karur and continue at properties associated with his aides and confidantes. NDTV reports that DVAC officials also question Balaji at a private hotel in Chennai, where he is currently staying.
The raids are described as being connected to an alleged conspiracy involving a poaching attempt tied to a TVK MLA. Times of India says police have arrested fourteen individuals connected to the case, and investigations are ongoing to determine Balaji’s alleged involvement. NDTV describes the searches as spanning 41 locations linked to Balaji and his associates.
