The package includes enhanced compensation and cash assistance, educational support for students in severely affected districts, and provisions for families of those who died in flood-related incidents as well as people reported missing for more than 30 days, subject to legal process. The government also proposes additional funding from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for eligible families, beyond statutory ex gratia.
