Lionsgate has released a new trailer for “Fall 2: Deadpoint,” a sequel to the 2022 survival horror film “Fall.” The new footage follows the story as two climbers attempt a dangerous route in Thailand, described in the film’s official synopsis as a perilous climb across Mount Kwan. According to coverage of the trailer, the protagonists are trapped high above the ground after a rockslide leaves them on a narrow plank thousands of feet up, intensifying the fight-for-survival premise established in the first movie. Multiple outlets present the trailer as placing the characters in an even more extreme height-based scenario than before, emphasizing the psychological pressure of being unable to escape fear while suspended in a precarious environment.
The films’ lead performer Harriet Slater is reported to return as Jax, with Arsema Thomas playing climbing partner Luce. Other cast members mentioned include Tom Brittney, Virginia Gardner, and Grace Caroline Currey. The Spierig Brothers are credited as the directors for the sequel. The film is scheduled for theatrical release in September, following the release of the trailer and related promotional materials.
