A 12-year-old boy dies after falling from the roof of a derelict barn while he is with friends in Woodhouses near Bishop Auckland, County Durham. Durham Constabulary identifies the victim as Jaxon Hubery (also reported as Jaxon Robert Hubery). Police say he falls from the building shortly before 2.45pm last Friday. Emergency services are called at around 2.35pm, and paramedics dispatch a range of personnel, including a clinical team leader and rapid response paramedic, with support requested from the Great North Air Ambulance Service. The boy receives treatment at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for his injuries before he later dies. After his death, Durham Constabulary confirms it results from the injuries sustained. The force says it is working alongside the Health and Safety Executive to establish the circumstances of the incident.
