Actress-producer Kirti Kulhari alleges that she lost ₹2,43,852 in a cyber fraud incident in Mumbai after unauthorised transactions were made using her bank credit card. According to reports, she received an alert about a transaction of USD 2,525 made on Aeromexico Airlines while she was at a Cinepolis theatre near Fun Republic Mall in Andheri West. After noticing the activity, Kulhari contacted her bank’s customer care. She was informed that four major unauthorised transactions had taken place using her credit card, and the card was blocked to prevent further misuse. Kulhari then filed a complaint with Mumbai Police at Amboli Police. An FIR is registered against unknown accused, and the case is being investigated by the police/cyber unit. Investigators suspect that her mobile phone and credit card details may have been compromised through malware or spyware, and they are tracing the suspects by analysing bank reference numbers and other digital evidence. The reports describe the incident as involving criminals gaining access to her phone and financial details, leading to rapid fraudulent charges.
