The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) opens a new physical complaint centre at its Oshodi headquarters, aiming to strengthen public accountability and transparency. The centre provides residents with an in-person platform to report traffic-related issues, lodge complaints, and make enquiries, including complaints about the conduct of LASTMA personnel. The initiative is presented as a complement to LASTMA’s toll-free hotline, which began operating about a month earlier.

LASTMA previously launched a toll-free hotline on 3367. According to the reports, the hotline records 2,843 public engagements within its first 30 days of operation (June 28 to July 29, 2026). The sources describe the engagements as including enquiries, commendations, resolved cases, and reports of accidents and vehicle breakdowns, along with formal complaints and information requests.

LASTMA officials state that complaints received through the physical centre are treated seriously and are investigated through established administrative procedures. The agency also reiterates a zero-tolerance stance on corruption and misconduct, with disciplinary action for officers found culpable through due process.
