Nscale, an AI cloud provider, has agreed to acquire software startup Anyscale to add a software layer that helps customers run and scale AI workloads more efficiently. Bloomberg reports the deal is valued at about $1.65 billion. Other outlets describe the acquisition as part of Nscale’s effort to broaden control over the AI compute stack, combining its existing cloud and infrastructure assets with Anyscale’s platform capabilities.
According to PR Newswire, Anyscale’s software turns raw compute into an end-to-end AI platform, which Nscale says will enhance its full-stack AI cloud offering.
