Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) announces it has signed a deal with IHG Hotels & Resorts to develop five hotels in India across major airport-linked and high-growth urban destinations. AAHL says the agreement will add close to 1,500 rooms (“keys”) across multiple hotel brands and locations, supporting IHG’s expansion plans in the country. The planned properties include destinations such as Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), as well as Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram. AAHL also states it is in advanced discussions with IHG to further deepen and expand the partnership beyond the initial five hotels. The companies frame the development as aligned with growing travel demand and the expansion of India’s aviation, tourism, and airport-led urban infrastructure. The pact also covers the launch of IHG’s luxury lifestyle boutique brand, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, in the domestic market. Details on timelines and specific development phases are not included in the reports.
