Nintendo announces that two previously cancelled Virtual Boy games will be added to its Nintendo Classics subscription service. The titles are D-Hopper (originally known as Dragon Hopper) and Zero Racers. Nintendo previously indicated earlier this year, in January, that it would revive cancelled Virtual Boy releases through the service, and it now sets a specific release date.
According to the reports, D-Hopper is an action-adventure game developed by Intelligent Systems, and it was not released at the time due to sales performance of the Virtual Boy. Zero Racers is described as a cancelled spin-off in the F-Zero series. Both sources agree the games are scheduled to become available on 4 August 2026.
The announcement follows the wider pattern of the Virtual Boy library being updated as Nintendo has incorporated additional titles into Nintendo Classics earlier in 2026. The subscription service continues to expand the catalog of historical games, including releases that never reached the original Virtual Boy market.
