Jamshedpur FC confirms it will not participate in the Indian Super League from the 2026–27 season onward. NDTV reports that the club missed an AIFF fee deadline after failing to pay an initial instalment by July 20, a point also linked to Inter Kashi’s late payment in earlier reporting. Times of India adds that Inter Kashi pays most of its fee before an extended deadline.
Jamshedpur FC states it will continue supporting grassroots football and youth talent development through its parent entity, JFSPL. The club also says it will honour existing player and staff contracts, but it has not yet detailed how its squad and coaching personnel will be handled. The fate of players and staff is expected to become clearer in the coming weeks as the club and the league apply relevant rules and contract terms.
