An RTI activist has sought investigations into the finances of Abhijeet Dipke’s father, alleging that his salary cannot account for the children’s education in the United States. According to the complaints, the activist asked authorities to examine how the family pays for international education and whether the financial disclosures are accurate. The activist has also written to the Election Commission to verify the registration status of the “Citizens for Justice and Peace” (CJP), alleging that the organisation functions like a political party despite being unregistered. In parallel, the activist has raised questions about a legal defence fund announced by Kapil Sibal, including claims that the organisation should face GST requirements on the pledged amount. The complaints have been submitted to relevant bodies, including election authorities and tax authorities, requesting checks into the fund’s tax implications and the organisation’s compliance. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke’s family and the wider organisation are named in the allegations, which focus on financial transparency, registration, and regulatory compliance.
