Akanksha Choudhary, a contestant on “Lock Upp 2,” alleges that she experienced a “casting couch” situation during her early modelling and pageant preparation days. The outlets report that she says she needed about ₹1–2 lakh for pageant-related expenses such as garments and training fees because her family could not afford the amount. According to her account, she approached an influential personality in the pageant industry—someone she had known previously and who had reportedly served as a judge at multiple pageants—seeking financial help for a short period.
Akanksha claims that the person invited her to his house and, when she visited, allegedly made physical advances. She says she refused once she understood the intent, adding that she would not have gone had she known what was being requested. She further alleges that the offer was tied to sexual favours in exchange for funds and opportunities, including a timeline of repeated demands over a month. She concludes by saying she rejects the offer and attributes her later success to her own work, despite the warning she says she received.
