The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) will open CAT 2026 registrations on August 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website, iimcat.ac.in, until September 15, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level entrance exam used for admission to postgraduate, doctoral and other management programmes offered by the IIMs and other participating institutions.
CAT 2026 is scheduled for November 29, 2026 (Sunday) and will be held in three sessions across around 170 test cities. Admit cards are expected to be available from November 4 to November 29, 2026. Results are expected in the first week of January 2027, and CAT scores are valid until December 31, 2027.
According to the shared details, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA); SC/ST/PwBD candidates require a minimum of 45% marks (or equivalent CGPA). The application fee is ₹2,700 for most candidates and ₹1,350 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Each IIM uses its own selection process, which may include additional factors beyond the CAT score.
