India’s telecom regulator TRAI revamps its “TRAI MyCall” mobile app to help consumers assess voice call quality and report network-related problems. According to multiple reports, the updated app enables users to provide immediate feedback on the quality of voice calls, including a simple user-rating mechanism using a 1-to-5 star scale. The feedback is designed to reflect the calling experience experienced by consumers.

TRAI Chairman Anil Kumar Lahoti is reported as saying the app also supports consumers in flagging issues encountered during calls, which can then be conveyed to service providers. The stated aim is to make it easier for users to submit observations about voice service performance directly through the mobile application.

Across the coverage, the core changes focus on user-friendly, real-time voice call assessment and reporting, strengthening consumer input into how voice quality is measured and how network problems are communicated.
