Seven patients are currently receiving treatment in civil hospitals for Chandipura virus, the reports say. Health authorities and field teams are conducting vector-control measures, including spraying pesticides in affected areas, aimed at reducing sandfly populations that can spread the infection.
Authorities also advise prompt medical care for symptomatic patients, including immediate ICU admission, to help prevent complications such as organ failure.
