Multiple outlets report that Haugset attacks on the hilly 156.6 km route between Geneva and Poligny and spends much of the day riding alone, with solo distances described around 68–88 km depending on the source. She makes her decisive move in the latter half of the stage, including attacks with roughly 85 km left, and crosses key categorized climbs first, including the Col de la Savine and the Côte de Chaux-Champagny. Haugset holds off the chasing field to finish first, with Belgium’s Lotte Kopecky reported as the closest challenger, about 30 seconds behind. With the Stage 3 win, Haugset moves into the overall lead and wears yellow heading into Tuesday’s fourth stage, which is an individual time trial.
