A major fire breaks out at an electronic chip manufacturing facility in Noida, in the early hours of Monday, prompting firefighting teams to respond, police and reporting outlets say. The blaze occurs at the ILGIM company (also described as a chip unit in Noida/Ecotech 3 area). Fire service personnel work to control the flames, but during the rescue and firefighting operation, a wall inside the building collapses. A separate structural element, an iron beam, also collapses, according to a spokesperson and police accounts. As a result of the collapse, two firefighters die on site, identified in one report as Tirthpal Singh and Rohit Yadav. Three additional firefighters are injured, with reporting indicating their condition is stable. Police say the incident triggers deployment of local fire teams and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) at the scene. Authorities continue with further legal proceedings following the incident.
