Hong Kong retail sales increase in June for a 14th consecutive month, according to provisional government figures cited by multiple outlets. Total retail sales value for the month is reported at HK$31.5 billion (about US$4.01 billion), up 4.6% year on year. The latest figures follow a sustained period of growth that extends through June.

Outlets also report that online sales contribute a growing share of the market. In June, online retail sales are stated to be HK$3.0 billion, rising 11.6% year on year and representing 9.4% of total retail sales value. Additional reporting notes that retail sales in the first half of the year rise by 9.6% compared with the same period in 2025.

The government commentary highlighted in one report links the performance to continued expectations for economic growth, improving incomes, and a steady increase in visitor numbers supporting retail demand.
