Omoyele Sowore, a presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), says President Bola Tinubu’s administration has failed across multiple areas in its first three years in office, giving it an overall grade of “F9” (as described by the outlets). Speaking on a live interview on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, Sowore argues that the government’s performance is poor in sectors including security, the economy, education, healthcare, and food security.
On security, he says it has “failed” during the period. On power, he claims the national grid has collapsed more than anything else in the last three years. On education and healthcare, he says students are increasingly required to borrow to fund schooling and that even the president does not patronise Nigerian hospitals. For food security, Sowore cites a claim that Nigeria has been classified by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization as requiring food aid in 2026.
He also argues that economic conditions have worsened, saying the number of Nigerians living in multidimensional poverty has doubled from 70 million to 140 million over the same three-year span. Both reports present Sowore’s assessment and the sectors he cites in support.
