The Walt Disney Company and TikTok announce a global agreement to share Disney-related short-form content. Under the deal, creators and fans can access and use selected Disney scenes and assets to make fan-created videos tied to Disney properties. The effort is designed to boost short-form programming and expand the availability of Disney character- and story-based shorts on TikTok.

According to the outlets, creators can opt in to participate in the program, producing curated short videos based on Disney franchises. The reported properties include Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and FX, among others. The content produced through the partnership is made available on both platforms.

The deal starts with a pilot in the United States in the coming months, with additional markets planned to follow. Channel NewsAsia also reports on the short-form video-sharing agreement, aligning with the coverage that Disney and TikTok are working together to enable fan and creator content using Disney material, while rolling out the partnership in stages.
