Mumbai police arrest a man in Goa nearly nine years after he escaped investigation in connection with a 2017 murder of a scrap dealer in the Andheri area. According to the report, the accused, identified as Mehtab Alam Ajimatullah Khan, was associated with a scrap dealer and was later linked to the homicide. Mumbai’s MIDC police reportedly track him using a combination of social media information and technical assistance after an extended search. The arrest occurs in Goa, where police locate the suspect following leads developed over time. After being apprehended, Khan is taken into police custody and is being processed for murder charges related to the Andheri scrap dealer case. The report indicates that his capture comes after years in which he was not in custody and remained wanted in connection with the 2017 crime.
