Mumbai University extends the deadline for admissions to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and four-year degree programmes for the 2026 academic cycle, according to a university circular. The university directs affiliated colleges, autonomous colleges, and recognised educational institutions to complete the admission process between August 4 and August 12, 2026.
The extension is presented as another opportunity for students who have not yet finished admission formalities. The university states that this is the final chance for candidates to complete the mandatory pre-admission online registration. It also notes that the online admission system covers courses across all four faculties and is intended to improve accessibility and transparency.
Students applying for UG courses must complete pre-admission registration through the university’s undergraduate admission portal, while those seeking PG and four-year degree programmes must use separate portals designated for those programmes. Alongside online pre-registration, candidates are required to submit college application forms, either online or offline, as applicable.
The university further instructs colleges to follow prescribed merit lists for admissions and to fill remaining seats, if any, through additional merit-list steps at their own level after the main process. Multiple outlets report the revised deadline as August 12, 2026.
