Amitabh Bachchan says he recently completed a grueling 24-hour work shift while filming Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 18. In a post on his blog, the 83-year-old actor described beginning work at 7 a.m. and wrapping up at 7 a.m. the next day. He said the schedule could not be postponed because the show’s premiere date has already been announced. Bachchan added that skipping the shoot would have affected his hosting role, noting that missing the broadcast deadline could have led to a job replacement. After the marathon session, he said he felt joy at returning to his regular routine, including his blog updates, and he indicated he was looking forward to brief rest before another early call for filming the following day. The report also reiterates that Bachchan has hosted KBC since it began in 2000, with an exception for Season 3, which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. KBC 18 is set to premiere on August 10 at 9 p.m., airing Monday to Friday on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
