The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) warns commercial transport operators in Abuja that they must relocate from illegal motor parks and roadside loading points to designated bus terminals. The FCTA issues the warning through the Mandate Secretary of its Transportation Secretariat, Mr Chinedum Elechi, during a news conference. The administration says operators still operating from unauthorized locations must move to approved terminals, and it warns that continued non-compliance will lead to enforcement actions. According to the FCTA, vehicles used for transport operations outside the approved terminals may be seized, and the administration also threatens to shut down operations that remain in illegal areas. Both reports describe the action as a fresh directive aimed at regulating where commercial transport loading and passenger pick-up occur across Abuja. The FCTA’s position is that approved terminals are the required locations for transport operators, and it sets the risk of vehicle impoundment and operational shutdown for those that fail to comply.
